Figuring out what few things to write about is a challenge. We have so much going through our minds. I have 8 minutes left on this computer, so I will quickly share with you about meeting our sponsored child Josselin.
After we arrived at the project on Monday we took some toys down to the children. I was playing lego with some children when someone told me that “our” Josselin was in the room next door. I went in and there she was with Lindsay playing playdough. She was very shy at first, but did “warm up” to us a bit. She gave us her first smile a little later when we played catch with one of the hackysack balls we brought down.
Her home is not far from the project. She goes to the project in the a.m. and so by the time we came after lunch she was napping. But she woke up slowly and was very cautious to look into the backpack we brought her. Lindsay had bought her quite a few things with her own money and had wrapped them up. With some encouragement she opened the little packages and got more interested in seeing what else was inside. Once everything was out, it was placed back in the knapsack and taken by all four children and placed in the bedroom where her whole family sleeps.
She does not have water in their home - they have a reservoir to collect water and they boil it to use it. Her kitchen consists of a single burner, but most cooking is done outside on “barbecue barrels.”
Well, I have 2 minutes left, but will run. It was an incredible privilege and honor to meet her Mom and Dad and pray for her family. She apparently had been asking her Mom every day when her sponsors were coming, as she had overheard that we were coming.

more later - I’m out of time.

It’s exciting to read all about your adventures and experiences. And what an education for the kids!
