Thank you to our LifeBridgers in Honduras….

Hi everyone. It’s Sherri and Cliff here, sending a short note to all of our LifeBridge family who are coming to the end of their expedition in Honduras.  We are so proud of each and every one of you who went on this journey together, doing God’s work for us all, and bringing back to us such inspiring reflections of your days there.  God is so good!

We  have thoroughly enjoyed our daily connection to you there by way of this blog (of course we would have preferred to be there but God had a different plan).

Thank you for stretching yourselves emotionally and spiritually to make this trip…..we can’t wait to see the pictures and share all the details ….. hope you all took good notes ….and we will see you after the Easter weekend as Cliff and I are heading to Cuba tomorrow for a week (back on 23rd March).

God bless you and we will keep you all in our prayers for God to put his arm of protection around you all as you journey home!

Sherri and Cliff, it was a joy to meet Claudia who barely cracked a smile at first (typical 13 year old girl), but then to see her smiling as we took her for lunch, met her family, bought her clothes at an ultra American style mall. We conveyed your deep regret in not being able to be there in person and took lots of pics for you.

Hi everyone in Tegucigalpa. Thanks so much for arranging to have a devotional book for Claudia. By the time you read this message, you will have already met her and her family…in fact even as I write this - I am encouraged and at peace that you are there with the children now! God bless you all in the next days and represent us well!

PS Please make sure that you play football (soccer) with the children for Cliff, I know he is disappointed not to be able to do that on this trip…..

The Journey Ends for Four of Us

Hi everyone, David and Shelly here. We are sad to announce that the journey to Honduras for us and for Sherri and Cliff has ended as of tonight.

After a long day at Halifax International Airport, American Airlines has canceled our flight to New York. The earliest possible re-booking was Tuesday afternoon at best and then there would be all the re-scheduling with TACA airlines into Honduras…the end result was that we probably would not get to Honduras until late Wednesday or possibly Thursday. All four of us are at peace with the fact that for some reason this trip was not meant to be for us and our itineraries are now completely cancelled and American Airlines is refunding the tickets.

We all ask that you please pray for The Laidlaws and The Lights - for their safety and for their spiritual protection. We are all sad and very disappointed to not be joining the rest of the team. We are definitely there with you in spirit and look forward to reading of your experiences.

God is in this trip and He will accomplish the mission!

 

Only 3 more sleeps (4 sleeps for Cliff & Sherri)!

It is hard to believe that our trip is almost upon us. We are all very excited and in the final stages of preparation to head to Tegucigalpa. While most of the group is leaving on Friday, Cliff & I will wait patiently until Saturday. We will look forward to posting our journals for your review each day…..we expect there will be lots to share with you! Until next time, or as they say in Honduras, Hasta luego y Adios!
